We’re not going to lie. Murphys Historic Hotel freaked us out. Lindsay was afraid to leave the room (Mark Twain’s room) at night to use the restroom down the hall and Lanee swears she heard a melody being hummed in the middle of the night. A guest log in the room reported previous guests’ ghost visitations in days and years past; not the best before-bed reading material…
While we invited the ghost of Mark Twain to visit and share with us his literary insight, it remains a mystery whether he visited us that night.
But it’s possible. In 2009, the American Paranormal Research Association (APRA) conducted a paranormal investigation of the hotel and confirmed it exists there! The main source of hauntings at the hotel? Eleanor, the friendly ghost.
