How is it already almost May??? Our year has gotten off to a great start…If you’re following along on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, you know where the Voyage Vixens have been and where we’re off to next! So far, 2015 has been filled with excitement in the travel world.
Here are few updates we’re jumping for joy to share:
YAHOO TRAVEL EXPLORERS
We are so thrilled to be one of Yahoo Travel’s Official Explorers. Along with a curated group of travel writers and bloggers, we have a dedicated Tumblr account here. Some of our stories end up on the front page of Yahoo Travel too, which is pretty awesome!
As such, we were recently included in a feature editor Annie Daly curated that gave 50 Reasons to Love the World, from travelers, writers, and bloggers across the globe, including us!
In honor of National Park Week, we were also included in a roundup of National Park selfies and memories. We shared a few of our favorites, like the below. Get the scoop and check them all out here!
Lindsay whitewater rafting in the Grand Canyon, Arizona.
Lanee at Delicate Arch in Arches National Park, Moab.
TINGGLY
We shared two of our best lessons learned from #travel with the folks at Tinggly Experiences.
And we shared some hot tips for the best online travel resources.
WITS15
We were so honored to be speakers at this year’s Women in Travel Summit in Boston. We were on a panel with four other fabulous lady travel bloggers talking about the pros and cons of press trips. We sat in on some great talks as well—everything from monetizing your blog to managing your brand. This was just the second year of the conference, and it was sold out with 300 women from around the US and Canada and beyond.
It’s always such a thrill to be able to share our experience and give back to others who want to travel and say YES!
At the conference, organizers Go Girl Travel Network announced their new brand, She’s Wanderful. Founded by Beth Santos, Wanderful is a community of 10,000 women in 110 countries around the world dedicated to travel.
And what’s a fun event without a silly photo booth session? Thanks to Dunedin tourism, we got our silly on for a #DunnerStunner! Here’s hoping we can get to New Zealand in the near future.
And thanks to Branson, Missouri tourism, we got to walk the “red carpet” and take a turn with the mani cam! So fun.
We’re looking forward to WITS16, which takes place in our Southern California backyard of Irvine, Calif.
VOYAGE VIXENS IS A TRADEMARKED BRAND
Also, just a reminder. If you see others out there called “Voyage Vixen” or any other similar names to ours, it’s not us. We wish them all the best, but want to clearly state that unless Lanee Lee Neil or Lindsay Taub or Voyage Vixens™ has personally endorsed the brand or person, they are in no way affiliated with us, work with us, or have any legal claim to the name. Just sayin’. We get it. It’s a fun name. But we’re the only official Voyage Vixens™ brand. It’s trademarked, in fact. You heard it here first!
