If you come to a fork in the road, take it. ~ Yogi Berra
Been there, done that? When you see a fork in the road, do you take it? If not, do you ask yourself why not? It is fear? Sometimes the greatest experiences in life (and travel) happen when we least expect it. We take a wrong turn and stumble upon a gem. We walk into an unknown store or bar, and meet a person with a story that would make Fitzgerald drool.
A recent conversation went like this:
Anonymous person: Why do you do it?
Vixen: You mean travel?
Anonymous: All of it, the harnesses, the helmets, the far away places, the swimming with sharks…
Vixen: Why not?
Anonymous: I don’t understand. You only have four limbs. One life.
Vixen: Exactly. That’s exactly the reason. It’s what makes me feel alive.
Anonymous: You zig, while everyone else is zagging.
Vixen: I don’t know any other way…
