Rim Tours Women 3-Day White Rim Trail
Rim Tours offers a women only adventure in Moab via mountain biking on Canyonlands National Park’s famed White Rim Trail. In addition to fantastic scenery and an exhilarating ride, the 3-day tour focuses on improving your riding technique, features daily yoga sessions and lots of opportunities for female bonding time. You can either camp or stay at hotels, depending which option you choose. Having personal experience with a private mountain biking lesson with owner Kirstin Peterson, we can vouch was incredibly knowledgeable and fun to boot.

Moab b.a.s.e Adventures Base Jumps
Head out to explore Moab’s backcountry with a lady who scaled or jumped from nearly all of its peaks. Steph Davis, base jumper and author of Learning to Fly: An Uncommon Memoir of Human Flight, Unexpected Love, and One Amazing Dog and founder of Moab B.A.S.E. Adventures, provides tandem base jumps, guided base jumpers and rock climbing clinics. Mother’s Day is around the corner, can’t think of a better way to bond with mom than jump off a cliff with her!

They specialize in year-round small-group custom horse and mule rides in Professor Valley, a half-hour drive from Moab. Ride along the winding Colorado River and discover where numerous movies were filmed (including Thelma & Louise) throughout Moab. The Hauer Ranch’s 25-head herd of horses and mules can accommodate a wide variety of riders from beginner to experienced, in groups from two to twenty. Women-only activities could be tailored around trail rides, small hikes, picnics, outdoor yoga and campfire socials.

Speaking of Thelma & Louise, Moab is home to the Thelma & Louise Women Only Half Marathon. Registrants will have the option of choosing to have the name “Thelma” or “Louise” on their bib.

Magpie Cycling Mountain Bike Tours
Magpie Cycling offers a White Rim Trail 4-day Tour in Canyonlands National Park. This trip takes place right before the 3rd annual Moab Pride Festival, celebrating Moab’s LGBTQ community. The White Rim Trail 4-day Mountain Bike (MTB) Tour follows a fun 80+ mile route with endless views of undeveloped natural desert landscapes. Although there are several challenging sections on this trail, Magpie’s guides are skilled instructors who will teach you the skills necessary to safely navigate the terrain.
