Los Angeles Times Travel Show Speakers

Headline speakers for the 2014 L.A. Travel Show include Alyssa Milano (yes, THE Alyssa Milano of the 80s television show “Who’s The Boss,” UNICEF Ambassador and host of “Project Runway All Stars”), Adam Richman (host of “Adam Richman’s Fandemonium,”), Henry Rollins (musician, activist, author of “Smile, You’re Traveling”) and Arthur Frommer (publisher of more than 340 Frommer’s travel guides).

This year’s show will feature an expanded LA Times area where award-winning journalists will host salons with their favorite experts on international sports events, major music fests and useful travel tech, as well as a presentation on The Times’ “Postcards From the West” series.

The Travel Smart stage has a full schedule of mini-seminars on the best of Europe for 2014, getting the most from your vacation budget, staying connected on the road, travel safety and the latest in alternative lodging. Over at the Flavors of the World kitchen, acclaimed chefs will treat audiences to cooking demos and samples of regional cuisine.

Attendees will also be entertained by live cultural performances and have access to a screening room showing short videos, including reader-submitted vacation movies. We submitted our zipline in Puerto Rico experience!

I liked the video on Mexico the most. It seemed the most fun, adventurous and exciting of the three.

Thank you for your feedback Traveller!:)

I really liked the Ouray, Colorado one. I was there once in the summer and it was so pretty. Not sure if I would go in the winter although it looks so cool. (Bad pun intended)

Appreciate the comment Sharon! The natural hot springs are an amazing way to keep warm during the chilly winter months! 🙂

I love your videos. I think Mexican one was best of the three, because it shows the human side of travel (getting into awkward situation) instead of just places to see.

VoyageVixens says:

Aw, appreciate the kind words about our videos. Yes, we try to keep it real. Part of the fun of traveling is dealing with the situations you didn’t plan on! 🙂

While all 3 videos were interesting I liked the Toronto one the best. I have been to Toronto many times but discovered some new places to visit from the video. More importantly, it made me interested in going to visit Toronto again.

Yep Gary, we’re ready to go back to Toronto too – it’s one of Lanee’s favorite cities to visit and Lindsay spent lots of time as a kid there. Appreciate your thoughtful feedback.

Linda says:

Gals, the first video is my personal favorite (even though I’ve always wanted to go to Canada) because i love having adventures that push me out of my plan zone. Also: i love getting to know strangers in little pockets of the world. I think my palms were sweating for you during the not-enough-cash sitch tho.

VoyageVixens says:
January 13, 2014 at 1:02 pm

Thank you Linda! Appreciate the feedback. BTW, both of our palms were sweating during the misadventure in Mexico! 🙂

Meg Li says:

My favorite video is Urban Adventures in Toronto because for someone who’s thinking of going to Toronto, the video provided places to consider included websites for more information.

Awesome Meg. Good to know more practical vids are appreciated.

Richard Lyans says:

all 3 videos were fun. The ice climbing makes me want to try it. 5 things to do in Toronto is a good idea (was in Toronto last year doing some of those things). but I like the idea of misadventure in Mexico. The Best. We all have had problems we have worked out when traveling. Great fun to see others… rlyans

Thanks Richard! Yes, we joke sometimes that we make mistakes so you don’t have to when traveling! Glad you enjoyed.

WHO ARE THE VIXENS?

Lanee Lee and Lindsay Taub of Voyage Vixens

Hi! We're Lanee and Lindsay. You may have gotten to this page because you're intrigued by the word "vixens" or maybe you found some of our porn online (#travelporn, that is!).
