A road trip to Murphys, California was quite simply off-the-beaten-path at its finest. There we found amazing adventures (like rappelling down an old mine shaft), gorgeous scenery, fabulous wines, delicious food, and quirky characters who give Murphys its special charm, not to mention a haunted hotel where Mark Twain and Ulysses S. Grant once stayed!
