Passport Safety: The Passport Protector

Losing your passport while traveling is quite simply one of the worst travel nightmares. Depending on where in the world you are, it could significantly impact your plans. It’s never happened to us (thank goodness, we’ve only lost wallets, computers, and phones!), but it happens. Passport safety isn’t just about where and how you keep it, but also how well you keep it!

True story: Patrick Dichter was headed to Europe last summer and his passport was denied for “wear and tear.” We didn’t even know that was possible – ours are pretty beat up too. But what was a travel disaster for Patrick became a creative passion project for passport safety. He invented The Passport Protector and has been perfecting the design for the past 9 months.

It’s a hardcore case that’s waterproof and impact resistant with minimal design. It’s like the Otterbox for iPhones – heavy duty protection for those of us who abuse our devices and yes, passports! What we like even more is that for each one sold, they will donate a portion to study abroad scholarships, similar to TOMS Shoes One for One program.

It’s a great idea and we’re all about it, but they need your help.
