Ashieda founder Sarah Ehrlich Reveals How to Look Good Traveling

July 2, 2014 By VoyageVixens Leave a Comment

Travel the world for the heck of it is a good enough reason, but to travel the world looking for ancient beauty secrets? Now that’s pretty unique. Meet Sarah Ehrlich, founder of the natural skincare line Ashieda, researching skin care throughout the globe.

Ashieda is the culmination of her travels with some pretty unique products including a collagen drink supplement (TSA-friendly size), disposable facial masks and more. Here she talks favorite travel destinations and gives insider tips on how to look good traveling:

Voyage Vixens: As a beauty guru that travels the world, what are your top three cosmetic/beauty essentials you pack in your carry on to help you look good traveling?
Sarah Ehrlich: A facial cleansing towelette, Ashieda’s Skin Renewal Facial Mask and a 2 oz shot of Beauty Nectar. Because of this, when I land, my skin looks fresh, dewy and hydrated.

VV: We’re so down for dewy! Top three favorite destinations you’ve been to and why?
SE: Maroma Beach, Mexico because it’s the most beautiful white sand beach in the world and the water is just perfect. Also my favorite resort is there. The room I stay in has its own gym. Thailand is another favorite destination from the North to the South and so many of their little islands.

Definitely the South of France – Provence is on my top 3. I love the lavender fields, the food and the wine of course. And I never forget to bring my collagen beauty drink, Beauty Nectar, to keep my skin looking fresh and hydrated. Wine and all alcohol can really dehydrate the skin.

VV: You’ve probably been to a ton of amazing spas. What’s your all time favorite?
SE: My favorite spa is the one in Chang Mai at the Four Seasons. It sits on a rice patty and is such a peaceful and serene destination.

VV: In your travels, what’s the most recent discovery?
SE: Well I can’t tell you my latest, because we are working on packaging it and offering it here in America but my favorite discovery is the liquid collagen drink that is very, very popular throughout Asia. The craze started about 15 years ago in Japan. Now they even have restaurants there that inject extra collagen in the food to keep their skin looking young.

VV: Ooh, excited to see your new product. Any particular part of the world you’re especially keen on for their beauty practices?
SE: Asia in general. They are way more advanced in skin care product development than we are here in the States. I already mentioned they have been using collagen drink for years. We are just getting into the idea of cosmeticeutical (ingestible cosmetics). They have also been using disposable facial masks and have so many to choose from. We offer one with the most amazing ingredients. You can actually see the difference after just one use.

VV: Speaking of your disposable facial masks that are totally travel friendly, what sets your skin care line apart?
SE: Our natural facial mask and collagen drink are nowhere to be found in America. In addition, we did our own clinical study that proves they are safe and extremely effective in promoting younger looking skin. You can see results with both products very quickly. The drink gives noticeable results in 3-7 days and as I mentioned you will see immediate results with our skin renewal mask.

VV: Beauty juice, love it! Where are you traveling next?
SE: I’ll be heading to Ireland for pleasure and Thailand for work and pleasure this summer.

Lanee’s Review of Ashieda

You may want to use this mask when you’re alone as it makes you look a bit like Hannibal Lector or the Slender Man. But, the no-hassle, no-mess aspects are well worth the strange visage. It takes a bit of wrangling to get it on properly, but after an hour, I removed it and my skin did feel silky soft. The Beauty Nectar has a fruity, herbal taste. I only tried three so I can’t testify to its long-term results. Both were super convenient to pack in my suitcase.

WHO ARE THE VIXENS?

Lanee Lee and Lindsay Taub of Voyage Vixens

Hi! We're Lanee and Lindsay. You may have gotten to this page because you're intrigued by the word "vixens" or maybe you found some of our porn online (#travelporn, that is!). Either way, we are fully aware we are not what you typically think of when you hear the word "vixen", i.e. boobalicious babe wearing skintight minidresses in 6-inch heels. In our book, you don't need DDs to be a VV. To us -- vixens are smart and sassy women (and men, why not?!) who take action, scared sh**less or not, to turn their dreams into realities. Now you know a little about us; we'd like to get to know you. Connect with us on twitter, instagram, google+, pinterest, youtube, Facebook, tumblr, and periscope! (yes, we're on them all...#sorrynotsorry)
