Together, we—Lanee Lee (Neil) Roth & Lindsay (Taub) Worthington —launched Voyage Vixens™ out of a love for travel and in hopes of empowering women to pursue their passions— whether that’s exploring the world, becoming a mother, learning to sew, or scaling a Via Ferrata. The blog has since garnered several awards including a Lowell Thomas award for “Best Travel Blog 2014” and a NATJA for “Best Independent Travel Blog 2014”.
Between the two of us, we’ve been to more than 51 countries on five continents and counting. We’d like to invite you to come along on our journeys. You’ll gasp, you’ll laugh, but most importantly, we hope you’ll be inspired to get that passport out and voyage like a vixen…
Lanee has been a lifestyle journalist for nearly 20 years, focusing on travel, food, wine and the cocktail scene around the globe. Her words have appeared in Robb Report, National Geographic, Conde Nast, Virtuoso, and Travel + Leisure and more. Lanee has a solid track record for writing headlines that turn heads and turns of phrases that would make Hemingway swoon.
In 2018, she parked her passport for a hot minute to welcome her first and only child, Esther. An entirely different adventure but equally fun (most days, that is), parenting has been the ultimate ‘voyage’ for her. Now, with the help of a very discriminating six-year-old travel companion and patient husband, Lanee also writes about family travel. Find out where she’s at in the world now by following her on Instagram @laneelee.
Lindsay is an award-winning journalist with 20 years of experience as a writer/editor, content producer and photographer covering travel and lifestyle. Lindsay is proud of her Estonian heritage and feels a particular passion for sharing stories of courageous women who beat the odds.
She has published in a variety of print and online media outlets including American Way, Delta Sky, Hemispheres, National Geographic Traveler, Robb Report, The Tennessean, Travel + Leisure, and Wine Enthusiast. Her byline has also been seen in Boston Magazine, The Boston Phoenix, The Patriot Ledger, The Land Report, Cesar’s Way, and many others.
Lindsay lives in the East Bay area of California with her husband, two daughters, a dog, and two cats. Though travel is more sparse these days, the former adrenaline junkie still loves to escape the daily grind of motherhood as often as possible; the quieter and more serene, the better! Besides gardening, cooking, and playing with her daughters, she enjoys painting (watercolor at the moment) and has a newfound passion for quilting. She finds nothing more sublime than a sundowner in East Africa and can’t wait to take her daughters on a safari one day.
