Like exchanging presents and drinking egg nog, holiday light shows are a tradition in the U.S. and many destinations around the globe during this time of year. They bring out the kid in all of us, whether we have children or not – you can’t help ooohing and aaaahing over their magical beauty. This year, […]
Trampolines: New Way to Travel in Russia & Paris
On our latest trip to La Paz, Mexico, one night, we were bored waiting for other dinner guests. So we opted to explore the malecón (water walkway). Much to our delight, we discovered a trampoline overlooking the water. As Lanee rushed to get on, reliving her childhood memories with the family’s backyard trampoline, Lindsay called […]
Voyeuristic Airplane Traveler Photos by John Schabel
John Schabel’s Passengers is a black and white photographic series of intimate portraits of airplane travelers. Schabel, a New York City based artist, took the photos during the time when passengers are seated in their seats, ready for take off. And the subjects were completely unaware he was taking them. It took him three years […]
Help Ink: One Good Act & Life’s Worthwhile
At Unique LA last weekend, an artisan show of hundreds of Made-in-USA products, we discovered ‘art with heart’ by Help Ink. Help Ink is a collective group of artists creating positive art with the purpose of raising money for charity via art sales. They’re reasonably priced and make great Christmas gifts for anyone really, but […]

This year, donations raised will fund two wells in Haiti.
Security Cameras Catching People Doing Amazing Things
We love Thanksgiving fixings, but we love the fact that Thanksgiving puts almost everyone in a more grateful mood. This video, which illustrates goodness, kindness and generosity still exists, is the kind of ‘feel good’ stuff we need more of. It’s a great way to spend a minute-and-a-half of your life and an even better […]
Captured by Nuns in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico
Voyage Vixens recently ventured off to the Isle of Enchantment aka Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico’s island charm, mixed with its exotic African-Spanish-Tanino Indian culture is intoxicating (not to mention the rum!). And, no passport or visas necessary as it is a U.S. territory. While there, we discovered The Gallery Inn in Old San Juan. On […]
Voyage Vixen Heroines: Andie MacDowell in Peru
On Pinterest, we have a board called “Voyage Vixen Heroines” dedicated to women we feel embody our motto and passions for Eat, Play, Love experiences around the globe. They are women who are strong, confident, game changers, movers and shakers. The rules don’t apply; they take fear and obstacles head on. They’re the ones men love and women want to be like.
Voyage Vixens in Ancient Mayan City of Cobá, Mexico
The Mayans played a gruesome game where the end result was a sacrificial beheading. It is unclear whether the winner or the loser of the game lost their head. Nevertheless, we were prepared to be the sacrifice to appease the Mayan gods in the ancient city of Cobá, Mexico in Riviera Maya, but alas, they […]
A shout out to fate and a GQ cowboy
We met – where else? – while traveling. We were in the gorgeous province of Alberta, Canada touring through Calgary, Banff, and Lake Louise… We bonded over the natural beauty, our natural inclination toward adventure and adrenaline junkie fun, delicious food, and the best ice wine we’d ever tasted. But it wasn’t until a ride up to a pristine and magical little tea house in Lake Louise on horseback with a GQ cowboy as our guide that we knew we’d be lifelong travel buddies! Since then we’ve had adventures together around the globe and back again…
